Dee O'Neill

Dee was introduced to skiing at an early age and spent winters zipping around the slopes, quickly becoming addicted. The lack of snow in Dublin was a bit of a problem and in order to ski regularly she joined the Ski Club of Ireland. This proved a useful stepping stone in training towards becoming a ski instructor. After receiving her first level qualification she realised that she wanted to develop more as a skier so she furthered her training which led her to gain her professional qualification and enable her to live in the Alps as a professional ski instructor. Dee is regularly works on our Ski Performance for Mountaineers and Chamonix Off-Piste & Touring Skills courses.

Dee can regularly be seen out running and cycling long distances and has completed many ultra-running events in the Alps.

Dee spent a number of years as the Chairperson of the Irish Association of Snowsports Instructors (IASI), the body responsible for training and assessing ski instructors to international standards. She is still involved as an IASI Alpine Educator & Examiner.

When not teaching skiing (or running Ultra-marathons), Dee works as an experienced Sports Therapist running a sports injury clinic in Dublin. Dee uses this expert knowledge to enhance her ski teaching, adding huge value to her coaching sessions.
